KL Walk | The River of Life, Kuala Lumpur

The River of Life is one of the most iconic parts of Kuala Lumpur. Located near Masjid Jamek Sultan Abdul Samad, the oldest mosque in the city, it is a convergence point of two rivers: the Klang River and the Gombak River.

 

The River of Life project launched in 2012 which focus river cleaning, river beautification and Commercialisation & Tourism. Today, there are riverside cafes, hi-tech fountains, bicycle paths and night-time light shows which turn the water a stunning cobalt blue.”

 

It is an expensive urban river restoration project and listed as one of the World’s 10 Best Waterfront Districts.

 It is accessible via Masjid Jamek LRT station, Ampang Line LRT
